Font preview program for PC
PrintMyFonts is a free fonts program created by Stefan Trost Media for PC devices. This tool helps users browse through fonts installed on their computers and preview them easily. It can detect and filter out system fonts from the third-party text fonts that were installed manually.
PrintMyFonts works in a similar fashion to AMP Font Viewer in that it allows for easy viewing of all available fonts. In addition, it also lets users print out samples using various options. It can be used as a portable program and does not require any installation or additional third-party apps to work.
How does PrintMyFonts work?
In a nutshell, PrintMyFonts is a program to browse through and previewing all the available fonts installed on your PC. It does not come with any fonts of its own and serves as a viewer tool for what is already there. It features a simple and intuitive user interface that utilizes a dual-pane layout. On the left side is where all your fonts will be displayed in a list. Meanwhile, the right side will offer various options to configure your fonts as needed.
The right pane menu starts with letting you filter between system fonts, installed fonts, or both. You can also search the name of the font style itself if you know what it is. Next, you can type in a custom text to be shown as sample text. The app also offers the option to show just letters or include numbers too. You can enable styles for them, such as bolded, italicized, and underlined.
Once you've found your preferred font style, you can then proceed to print it directly. Alternatively, you can export it to various file formats, including images, documents, or even HTML. One thing to note is that PrintMyFonts does not support showing all types of font styles, particularly those unique ones that come from third-party sources.
